STREAM = Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Math
Dandridge Elementary students have been having loads of fun while learning through STREAM activities. Wonderful activities have been planned by dedicated teachers.
First and Second graders have been reading about Iggy Peck Architect. They have completed activities in which a play mat was colored, students planned to create a bridge, and used Legos to build a bridge to help them get across the creek on their mat. They will continue to learn about architecture and build other items.
Third-grade students completed research on creating paper airplanes. Each student created their own airplane and then competed against classmates to determine who had the best design. Various activities have been completed such as a water bottle terrarium, a skittles activity, and they have been sorting objects and graphing them.
Fourth and Fifth-grade students have been detectives. They have been asking a lot of questions and trying to find out how or why things work. They have learned some basic cryptology, conducted a water bottle challenge, completed the paper chain challenge, and are completing some Westing Game activities.
We will have our Parent Night on October 28th. Our students are excited to share with their parents all the new things they have learned through STREAM.
