Jefferson County Schools is grateful to American Legion Post 113, Jefferson City, for its donation of American flags to support schools across the district.

The flags will be used to replace those in need of retirement, helping ensure that Jefferson County Schools can continue to honor the nation and those who have served while proudly reflecting the values of excellence, service, and respect throughout its schools.

Representatives of American Legion Post 113 recently presented the flags to Director of Jefferson County Schools Dr. Tommy Arnold at the Jefferson County Department of Education.

"We are grateful to American Legion Post 113 for this generous donation and for their continued support of Jefferson County Schools," Arnold said. "These flags will help ensure our schools continue to honor our nation and those who have served while setting a positive example of citizenship, responsibility, and pride for our students. Those values are at the heart of The Patriot Way and the work we do each day across our district."

Jefferson County Schools appreciates American Legion Post 113 for its dedication to supporting local schools and serving the Jefferson County community.
