At approximately 1:50, a caller reported to 911 that there had been a shooting at Jefferson Middle School, and 911 notified the school of the call.  The school immediately implemented their safety protocols, and police responded swiftly.  Very quickly, the investigation indicated that the call was a prank.  At no time were students or staff in danger. Jefferson County Schools will continue to investigate the situation and deal with it appropriately.
