Jefferson County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Woods as principal of White Pine School for the 2026–2027 school year. Mr. Woods brings a strong background in instructional leadership and a deep commitment to student success. He has served as assistant principal at White Pine School since 2013, where he has played a key role in school operations and teacher development. 

Mr. Woods holds a master’s degree in School Administration from Lincoln Memorial University and brings more than 27 years of experience in education, including extensive service as a classroom teacher and administrator. His career has been marked by a focus on building strong relationships, supporting effective instruction, and maintaining safe, structured learning environments. 

Known for his steady leadership and commitment to students, Mr. Woods emphasizes collaboration, clear expectations, and positive school culture. He looks forward to this opportunity to lead White Pine School and to continue building strong partnerships with students, staff, families, and the community.
